Project Overview

The Manhattan borough-based jail will be located at the site of the current Manhattan Detention Complex at 124-125 White Street. The new, state of the art facility will contain 1,040 beds for men and provide 125 accessory parking spaces below grade for authorized vehicles. In addition, the facility will provide 20,000sf of community and commercial space on the ground floor, dedicated space for on-site services and programming, indoor and outdoor recreation, food services, staff offices and facilities, amenities, and secured entry (sally port). Joint Venture partners, Tutor Perini Corporation (TPC) and O&G Industries (O&G), along with Design Lead, HOK are kicking off Phase 1 for Design and Construction and are interested in working with Minority-owned Business Enterprises (MBE) and Women-owned Business Enterprises (WBE) on the BBJ-Manhattan Facility Project.
